Thompson vineyard never fails to produce earthy, structured, fruit-driven wines that are favorites with customers and critics alike. The 2015 vintage is well-balanced and elegant yet also intense, showing rich notes of blackberries and lavender as well as hints of savory meats. This wine always ages beautifully and is sure to evolve well over the next 12 years.

As young as it is, the grapes from this vineyard show amazing sophistication and complexity. Look for notes of lavender, plums, black cherries and licorice. This wine is full-bodied and approachable now but is also sure to age well over the next 8 to 12 years.

Once again this vintage the Santa Barbara County Syrah is made up of fruit from the diverse microclimates that Santa Barbara County has to offer. Comprised of Syrah from Brave and Maiden, Camp 4 Vineyard and Clover Creek Vineyard, this wine is inky, extracted and packs a lot of power for the price. Look for intense notes of black pepper and spice as well as rich notes of black plums and berries. Drink now or age over the next seven years.

The 2014 Los Padres Red is a blend of Paso Robles Petite Sirah and Santa Barbara County Syrah and Grenache. 50% of the wine was aged in tank while the other 50% aged in neutral French oak barrels. The result is a rich, deep, powerful wine that is almost black in color.

This one-time-only bottling of 100% Colson Canyon Syrah aged 27 months in 100% new French oak was inspired by a trip Joey and our assistant winemaker, Zac Wasserman, made to France.

This rugged vineyard always delivers some of darkest, most extracted wines we produce. Look for notes of black plums and blackberries as well as vanilla, black and white pepper and smoked meats. This Colson is drinking well now but will continue to age nicely over the next 10 to 12 years.

From the first vintage of Turner we made back in 2005, this wine impressed us with its balance, finesse, and peppery, cool-climate profile. The Turner is a sophisticated wine with a silky texture and fine, grainy tannins as well as juicy notes of raspberry jam and hints of rose petal on the nose. This wine will age well over the next 10 to 12 years.

Made up of Syrah and Grenache sourced from Colson Canyon Vineyard, which we recently purchased, as well as Syrah and Mourvedre from the Tensley Estate Vineyard planted at our home, this wine truly represents a dream come true. This wine is floral, rich and full-bodied showing bold notes of black raspberry and cherry. Its finish is long, spicy and elegant. This wine is approachable now but will also age well over the next 8 to 10 years.

The fruit for this wine comes from the respected Camp Four Vineyard located in the Santa Ynez appellation. We also source the Grenache Blanc and Roussanne for the Tensley Blanc from this well-tended vineyard. This wine was aged in 100 % neutral oak barrels to let the fruit shine without being overly influenced by notes of oak.
